PreAGI
PreAGI refers to the period before generally capable machine intelligence exists.
Most AI systems during this period may still be extraordinarily capable, including systems that outperform humans in individual domains. What distinguishes the PreAGI world is that machine intelligence remains meaningfully bounded compared with the breadth and adaptability associated with general intelligence.
The boundary between PreAGI and PostAGI may only become obvious in retrospect.
